The defending state champ’s top scorer talks about defending the title, evolving into a scorer and honoring her brother’s spirit on the ice.

In the course of months, Jessica Driscoll went from living a dream to enduring any family’s worst nightmare.

Through the elation of winning on the ice at TD Garden and the unimaginable sorry of losing her brother, Central Catholic hockey star Ryan, in a June 2019 fatal car accident, hockey has been the safe place where Jessica finds peace, camaraderie and healing.

The sophomore Red Rangers leader has evolved into a much-needed scoring threat on a team that graduated most of the goal scorers from the state title team. Her emergence has helped stabilize the M-T offense as they have jumped out to a 5-1-3 record.

Our Week 3 Girls Hockey MVP talks about the Red Rangers finding their new identity and chemistry, her best memories of Ryan and his Raider teammate and friend who has tried to keep the Driscoll sibling rivalry alive in honor of Ryan.
