In our first deadlock vote, hoopster Adrian Torres and goalie Caulin Martel tie for the top spot among voters.

We don’t blame Dracut voters. We put them in an impossible position. Well, to be fair, their student-athlete stars forced them into a “Sophie’s Choice” sitch. (Look it up.)

Dracut athletes grabbed three of the four slots in our Overall Week 3 vote, with Torres, Dracut-Tyngsboro netminder Martel and girls hoops star Aya Alkassar all finishing in the top four overall vote getters among individual sport MVP contests this week.

Here is how it all played out. Torres was leading 35.4 to 34.7 percent with about 11 minutes to go in the vote. The Martel faithful finished strong to close the gap and force the deadlock.

Here are the results from each individual sport.

GIRLS INDOOR TRACK WINNER: Makayla Paige, Tewksbury

BOYS INDOOR TRACK: Patrick Pinto, Dracut

BOYS SWIMMING: Corbin Hampton, Chelmsford (we apologize PROFUSELY for the misspelling!)

GYMNASTICS: Laila Pratt, Billerica/Chelmsford/Tyngsboro

WRESTLING: C.J. Brown, Methuen

GIRLS ICE HOCKEY: Jessica Driscoll, Methuen-Tewksbury

BOYS ICE HOCKEY: Caulin Martel, Dracut-Tyngsboro

GIRLS BASKETBALL: Aya Alkassar, Dracut

BOYS BASKETBALL: Adrian Torres, Dracut

Thanks to everyone for voting as always!
