Twitter voting for MVC MVP begins Monday, Nov. 18 and continues through the end of the month, so get out the vote! Who Is the Fall Sports MVC MVP? We’re Aiming To Find Out!

Twitter voting for MVC MVP begins Monday, Nov. 18 and continues through the end of the month, so get out the vote!

So we started our efforts as focusing on football only, wanting to “get it right” in terms of covering the Merrimack Valley Conference. We’re playing a bit of catch-up in covering the rest of the fall sports, admittedly, as we JUST started the full-blown MVC Sports Today website.

But that isn’t going to stop us from having the same kind of fun with social media votes as we have had with the MVC Gridiron Weekly crowd.

So we’re endeavoring to crown the first annual non-football MVC FALL SPORTS MVP. Why non-football? Honestly, we might eventually combine it all in to one vote, but for me, we’re pretty confident we’re giving the football crowd plenty of their own love. This is all about giving the other sports the attention they deserve.

So here’s how we’ll do it: Each day, we will post a vote on Twitter and on the website. We have selected 29 total MVP fall sports athletes. This encompasses all of the official conference-named MVPs plus a number of wildcards who shined in individual competition.

We will start with votes in at least 8 heats, with three to four of our athletes RANDOMLY selected for each heat. After the initial heats, the winners of each day will compete in the semifinals (four randomly selected vote winners in each semifinal) and then a final vote (the top four semifinal vote getters).

Here is our list of athletes. If we’ve missed someone you think should be included, send me a note to tim@mvcsportstoday.com or leave a comment below.
