A Redmen becomes a MVP two-timer as the MVC flexes its muscle in the playoffs. MVC Gridiron Honor Roll, Week 8

A Redmen pulls off the MVP repeat and the Andovers continue to roll.

This week was full of dominating performances, as Central Catholic, Andover, North Andover and Tewksbury all scored first-round playoff wins to highlight just how good the competition is in MVC football.

Our MVP vote came down to Josh Ramos from Andover, Tyler Keough from Tewksbury, Will Schimmoeller from North Andover and Manny Lara from Lawrence.

For the first time, we had a four-way tie in the vote. Lara won both the fourth-nominee flash poll vote and the overall vote, taking out Keough, 33 to 32 percent.

Host Tim Wood voted once again for Ramos (who someone has not won a weekly MVP vote despite having a MVP season), Bill Bryant voted for Keough and Victor Longo voted for Schimmoeller.

So our host vote went back to the top two fan vote finishers, and the weekly winner is our first two-time winner of the season.

Here’s this week’s “MVC Gridiron Weekly” Honor Roll, presented by realtor Jen Hamilton.
